Privacy Policy
We don't run accounts, ask for emails, or sell data, so this policy is short. Here's exactly what we collect, what we do with it, and what your options are. Want to skip it and go back to browsing? Be our guest.
Effective: April 28, 2026
🌶️1. What We Collect
AyPapi doesn't ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other personal info. There's no account to create. The data we collect is the minimum needed to keep the site running:
- Server logs: your IP address, user-agent string, page URLs visited, timestamps, and referring URL.
- Functional cookies: small browser tokens used for things like remembering whether you've dismissed an age-confirmation banner.
- Anonymized analytics: aggregated visitor counts and popular cities, with no individual tracking.
What we don't collect: emails, phone numbers, names, payment information (we don't take payment), or anything submitted via forms (we don't run forms).
2. How We Use It
The data we collect is used for:
- Analytics — understanding how many people visit, which cities are popular, what hours are busiest. Helps us prioritize work.
- Abuse prevention — rate-limiting bots, blocking attacks, spotting patterns of misuse.
- Debugging — figuring out why a page returned an error or a feature broke.
- Aggregate reporting — high-level metrics like "Houston had X visitors last week."
We never use this data to build user profiles, sell to advertisers, or share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
3. Cookies
We use a small number of cookies, all of them either strictly necessary or analytical. No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking pixels, no fingerprinting scripts. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time and the site will still work.
4. Third-Party Services
We use:
- Vercel for hosting. They have access to server logs as part of running the platform. Their privacy practices are at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
- A privacy-respecting analytics provider that aggregates traffic without building per-visitor profiles.
These services have their own privacy policies that govern data they collect on their end. We don't use Google ads, Facebook pixels, or any retargeting infrastructure.
5. Sharing & Disclosure
We don't sell, rent, or trade your data with anyone. We may disclose data only when:
- Required by law (subpoena, court order, valid legal process);
- Necessary to investigate or stop fraud, abuse, or threats to safety;
- We're working with a service provider (like our host) who needs the data to perform a specific function.
6. Data Retention
Server logs are retained for 30 days, after which they're deleted or anonymized. We may keep specific log entries longer if they're part of an active abuse investigation. Aggregated analytics (without IPs) may be retained indefinitely for trend analysis.
7. Your Rights
Even though we don't collect personal info in the traditional sense, you have rights regarding any data we do hold. You can:
- Request access to data we have associated with your IP.
- Request deletion of any logs tied to you.
- Opt out of analytics by enabling Do-Not-Track in your browser, or by using a content blocker.
If you're a California resident (CCPA) or in the European Union (GDPR), you have additional rights including data portability and the right to object to processing. To exercise any of these, email legal@aypapi.vercel.app.
8. Children's Privacy
AyPapi is for adults only. We do not knowingly collect any data from anyone under 18. If we discover we've collected data from a minor, we delete it promptly. If you believe a minor has used the site or been featured in a listing, contact abuse@aypapi.vercel.app immediately.
9. Security
We use industry-standard practices to protect data — TLS encryption in transit, hardened hosting, restricted internal access. No system is 100% secure and we can't guarantee absolute protection against every threat. If we ever experience a data breach affecting users, we'll notify the public promptly and follow applicable breach-disclosure laws.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy occasionally. The version posted here is always the current one, and the effective date at the top will be updated when we change anything material. Continuing to use the site after changes means you've accepted the updated policy.
